There are so many different styles available to suit any type of home and any type of space. What's your favourite? Mine is definitely timber mirrors.
I have a large mirror sitting on top of my chest of drawers in my bedroom - I found the frame in pieces at a garage sale and bought it for $5. My husband put the frame back together, gave it a coat of Danish oil and placed a piece of mirror in it. I think it does the job well.
And I love the lillies, orchids and roses I have sitting in front of my mirror at the moment - they make the room seem so fresh and welcoming...

Love all the mirrors, especially the oyster shell one. I would love to find a mirror like this but they seem to be very hard to find. Hope you have a lovely, relaxed weekend. Leigh
ReplyDeleteI think I have a mirror in every room here in this house. For the same reasons like yours. And I am a bit of a drama queen as well...you know...over the top.
ReplyDeleteIs it noticable that I like your blog a lot?????
Really enjoyed this post! Love the antique cast iron mirror.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention in the March post. (Discovered it by chance).
I love timber mirrors too, but they have to be chunky. I love the gilt edged mirris too, again the chunkier the better. I am always worried though that chunky mirrors will fall of the wall - and then it's seven years bad luck!
ReplyDeleteI have a similar one to yours in my bedroom - but don't have those lovely flowers beside it...lucky girl!
if you dont mind.. what is the height of your chest drawers? because i bought an almost similar large white-framed mirror.. but i find putting it on top of the chest drawer is too high for me (to be used as dressing table). is your chest drawer on your waist level or chest level? because the furniture in my country is of very limited choices.
