Sleepless nights

I'm having lots of sleepless nights at the moment. Why? Four little words: Le Tour De France! I got hooked on this fantastic cycling last year, and this year I've got the bug even worse. Hey, I can talk peletons, time trials, climbs, sprints and team tactics with the best of them. Sad I know, but there's something weirdly compelling about the Tour De France. It's cycling at it's best and I'm supporting Australian cyclist Cadel Evans all the way. By the end of July I'll need toothpicks just to keep my eyes open.
I'll be back with something decor related tomorrow.

  1. I love the Tour de France, it's so amazing to watch, the scenery and the determination! You could tape it and sleep for a few and then catch up in the morning;)

Lavender fields and sunflowers and then into the rugged mountainous country of The Pyrenees. And the muscley legs of the cyclists.,OOOpppss. I got slightly carried awaythere !! I just checked that you were following Being Ruby as she is doing loads on The Tour.Keep those eyes open. XXXX

  3. I'm with you! Thankfully my hubby has set up my laptop to receive the coverage so I can watch from the warmth and comfort of bed. I can think if nothing worse than actually riding a bike for any length of time (t was always my last choice at the gym!) but watching those professionals and pondering the tactics is completely addictive.

  4. The Tour de France used to go right by my apartment in Paris (just before the finish line) and I actually saw Lance the year he won his 7th! I have to say, it was pretty exciting. Now get some sleep, Lee!

  5. With both you and Julie giving this mention, I just might have to check it out and see what I'm missing!

  7. My husband is a crazy keen cyclist. We record each night and watch it the next night. This has been my life for last four years. Also had to watch the Giro D'Italia in May. It does get addictive. But they really need to do something about those clashing team colours (although I like the plain royal blue one - Agritubel I think.)
