Get the knack

It's raining here in Melbourne and really I should be studying or working, but instead I'm surfing blogs and websites and by and large procrastinating.  Anway, to the point of this post...

Reading yesterday's wonderful post over at Cafe Cartolina, I followed the link to Knack Studios...and now I don't know whether to be happy or sad?!?  Happy - because I found such a beautiful source of inspiration, or sad - because it's located in Greenville in the U.S. and there's no way I can have any of the pretties on their site.  I love absolutely everything on their site, but if I had to choose, I'd want to take these three things home with me...

1. This group of mirrors for my hallway...

2. These canvas cushions with great printed numbers on them. Are they repurposed sails?

3. This chest of drawers.  I just love the colour of the drawers and the very unusual black and white knobs...
It's seriously worth checking out their gorgeous site (and particularly their flickr photos).  I am sure they can make anything look good!  Take the following picture - singularly these plates would look pretty shabby, but stacked like this with a couple of interesting knick knacks and a sign on top and don't they look lovely...

HI Lee
Looks lovely. I know what you mean about happy & sad. Sometimes I just want to hop a plane.. haha

Hey I just noticed your previous post on Brown Button [on your 'you might also like'] I bought the little doggie chalkboard AND the fat little piggie too some time back. Had meant them to be presents.. but too much fun .. kept them for myself.. ahahaha

Have a great weekend. xx Julie

Love those cushions too Lee! Oh throw caution to the wind & take a break from study, an hour on the internet is worth 10 spent on the books!

I really should be working or cleaning up around here but am surfing the net instead(!) This place looks lovely - I'd love any one of those chests. Such pretty colors.

Personally I find surfing blogs and things much more exciting than either work or study - if only I could be paid for the pleasure!! Good talking with you ... K
