Monday morning shop post - Momu

I visited this shop, Momu, on Saturday morning when I was over in Swan Street, Richmond, searching for bathroom fittings for my sister's ensuite. It is a beautiful space, with all furnishings and objects artfully arranged. There were so many things that I 'wanted', but because of tight times financially I resisted because, as much as they made my heart sing, I did not 'need' them. Doesn't stop me dreaming though! The store manager would not let me take any pictures when I was there, and I am painfully shy about asking anyone for anything so I didn't push it. Anyway, there are some beautiful pics on their website (although they are not particularly good quality/large shots - sorry, some pics are better than none).
The first picture is my favourite piece in the store - I've long wanted one of these beautiful parchment lamps with a glass base...

I loved the fabric on this chair and did enquire about it for re-covering my two lounge chairs, but it was prohibitively expensive...

Aren't these animal candleholders sweet...
Momu is owned and managed by interior designer Richard Gasking and his two sons. It's well worth checking out the store's website as there are many, many beautiful images. And if you're ever in Richmond, Melbourne it's a lovely place to visit to drool over the beautiful furnishings and homewares.
All images are from Momu.

  5. Lots of great pieces - I'm loving the coffee table and also the round dining table. Pity they wouldn't let you take pictures - it would have been free advertising for them. Their loss!

  6. I find that amazing that the owner didn't want free publicity through your blog! Some people are just successful by accident! A-M xx
