Villa in the Huon Valley

The latest issue of Australian House & Garden (January 2011) has a lovely feature on the B&B retreat, Villa Talia located near Cygnet in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. It looks very, very appealing from the front hallway...

To the magnificent vista...

And everything else in between...

I've always wanted to do a road trip around Tasmania, and when I do a stopover at Villa Talia would be quite lovely.

Just gorgeous - and Cygnet is a fabulous spot - it's a lovely afternoon drive from Hobart with lots along the way - you do a big loop and take in Peppermint Bay at Woodbridge, a few wineries... the coast is lovely and the Lotus Eaters cafe in Cygnet is brilliant. A x

Now this is what a B&B should be! MOTH & I had the most wonderful 10 days driving around Tassie a few years ago. We drove to Melb. & put the car on the overnight ferry. That way we could buy wine everywhere, throw it the boot & drive home with it! Can thoroughly recommend the trip Lee.

Just found your blog, Lee (from Raina Cox's sidebar).
I always "absorb" documentaries from remote areas such as Tasmania thinking of the thousands of miles which are in between. And then I always hope to be able to visit this place one day. So many beautiful places there are on this planet...
This house is so beautiful and does not need much embellishment with a view like this one...
