Monday morning shop post - Southwood Home

In a sweet little group of shops in Queens Parade, Fitzroy, you'll find Southwood Home - a shop filled with exquisite gifts, objects and furniture for the home. The philosophy of Southwood Home is:

...to offer our customers beautiful, stylish and great quality homewares purchased in the knowledge that they are treading lightly on the earth. Products are predominately sourced in Australia, supporting local business and artisans with a focus on ethical and environmentally responsible production. Ranges sourced from overseas have either a fair trade or certified organic focus.

Here's just a taste of what's in store...

Oh, this is so me! Love the cushions in particular, exactly what I have been looking for. Is that a Tree blanket I spied on the bed...might try and go tomorrow. One off pieces are exactly what I am after now to put the finishing (or starting in my case) touches to my home. Thanks Lee!

Hi Lee
Just thought I pop in and tell you that I went to this shop today. Absolutely beautiful...It is definately my style and I loved everything! She is getting a whole range of childrens bedlinen/blanlets/cushions in the next few weeks so I am definately going back to look at the new room they are setting up. I almost bought the tree blanket but I couldnt work out which colour would suit my bed atm.
Thankyou so much for the Monday shop posts as I would have no idea where to shop for these beautiful one off pieces.

This is a great post! Would you be interested in seeing your work about local places syndicated on local news blogs? See Fitzroy and Brunswick for examples. Many local bloggers are contributing. There's no advertising and no exploitation of your content - just a convenient way for local people to read local news. To contribute please add suburb categories, tags or labels to your posts, such as 'North Fitzroy', 'Brunswick', etc and let me know you've done this. RSS feeds for these tags are created and added to the local news sites. You may find that syndication brings more traffic to your blog and more comments from readers!
