Mellow Yellow

I'm definitely in need of some bright, colourful inspiration today so I thought I'd share with you some of the bursts of yellow that I have come across in blogland lately . Unfortunately I don't have any yellow in my own home - I find it a very difficult colour to decorate with. But these are all fine examples of how to get right with yellow...

If you'd like to learn a little more about decorating with yellow it's worth reading colour consultant Maria Killan's terrific post 'The secrets to decorating with yellow' on her blog Colour Me Happy. She's definitely a woman with a great understanding of how colour does and doesn't work.

Wonderful, wonderful Lee! Dear MOTH made it very clear when we were dating that if our relationship was to proceed I needed to promise that I would NEVER have anything yellow in the house! What a tragedy & I'm wiping away the tears as I write this!

Love the framed wallpaper feature in Photo 1 - what a great way to use wallpaper without having to go overboard and do the whole room!
