Monday evening shop post - Pomme

Earlier this year my bookclub group had their regular get together out of town at Mornington (about an hours drive out of Melbourne) and after an enjoyable, leisurely lunch I found time to have a stroll around some of the shops and I popped in to one of my favourites, Pomme. This sweet tiny little shop is hidden away at the rear of the main street - it faces a car park no less! But don't let this put you off, it has the most wonderful one-off pieces that are both inspirational and gorgeous. It's more like a gallery and supports both local and international artists and master crafts persons.

Each time I find myself on the Mornington Peninsula I cannot resist dropping by Pomme to see what they have in store. Here are just a few of the artists/craftspersons that they stock that I particularly like.

Ceramics by Sophie Milne...

Ceramics by Stockholm based Karin Eriksson...

Polypropylene sculptural vessels by Emma Davies...

Glass vessels/forms by Leisa Wharington...

Paintings by Bronwyn Bain...

Jewellery by Katheryn Leopoldseder...

Jewellery using recycle materials (Tupperware containers would you believe!) by Liana Kabel...

One of my best girlfriends lives in Olivers Hill, so whenever I visit we try and squeeze in a visit to Pomme!
