Singapore bound

I'm off to Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore later this year (with the Luxe guide in my pocket of course) and I'm having difficulty finding somewhere 'nice' to stay in Singapore. I have been there before but it was for business and the accommodation was booked for me by my employer. But this time around I get to choose. Do any travel-savvy bloggers have some suggestions/advice to help me out? (Image: Luxe City Guides)

Lee, I am also a fan of the luxe guides. Infact yesterday morning I was showing mine off to our guests.

As far as Singapore hotels are concerned, my favourite is The Scarlet - it is simply fab!

Hi, Lee! My goodness, I go away for a few days and you've had foot surgery and you're planning a major trip! I'm so behind! First, I hope you have a quick recovery. Second, what a fabulous trip you're going to have! Sorry but I've only been to Malaysia and Thailand, not Singapore (except the airport). You'll have to let me know how you like the Luxe Guide. I love to travel so I'm always on the lookout for good guidebooks.

I use the Luxe Guides for everything especially Asia. We stayed in the Fullerton Hotel it is a business hotel but in the old Post office so very Colonial. Great great service. Lovely bar, right on the river, close to quite a few good restaurants, you should be able to get a good deal on a suite in these economic times. We also had some amazing French (!) meals in Singapore mainly based on the Luze guide

Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia last year Lee & loved it. Have also done the Pan Pacific (v. good) & the Marina Mandarin (O.K.). I've also heard from a couple of work colleagues that The Fullerton is fab. And if you can stretch the budget, The Oriental is amazing. Lucky you - I love Singas!!!
